WHY MOVE THE MISSION?
We launched Redemption Church to help the people in our city become authentic followers of Jesus. God is at work in us, and we want to continue to take strategic steps to make Redemption happen. Our MOVE THE MISSION campaign will enable us to move our worship gatherings to Sunday mornings at John Ross Elementary School, which is in a great location adjacent to Edmond North High School between Danforth and Covell. This will provide a solid foundation for our church for the next 2-5 years.

After consulting with experts who specialize in helping churches thrive in spaces like this, we’ve committed to raise $150,000 for capital investments for this project. Obviously, this will be a significant investment that goes above and beyond our normal giving.
We are asking you to partner with us in four ways: PRAY | GIVE | SERVE | INVITE. Specific ways to contribute are listed below.
5 WAYS THIS HELPS US MOVE THE MISSION:
- Time – Sunday mornings are the best time to reach the greatest number of people.
- Outreach – The school is a great neutral space in a highly populated area where we can connect with all kinds of people.
- Kids – The space provides a fantastic environment for our kids to learn, laugh, connect and grow.
- Worship – We can grow an authentic worship experience with room for more than 300 in a single service.
- Visibility – We want people to know we are here. We want them to be able to find us. The move to John Ross will raise the awareness of our church in the community.
This is a tremendous opportunity for our church. We believe this is an important step of faith for us as a church. We can see the excitement of our first Sunday in our new space. We can see first-time guests being welcomed by a friendly face as they get a fresh cup of coffee. We can see elementary age kids worshipping Jesus in the light of the large windows of the cafeteria. We can see hundreds of people seated in the gym as the Bible is taught in a life-changing way. We can see a church that engages our community, blesses our city, and points thousands of people to new life with Jesus.

With this move, we will need everyone to pitch in on serve teams on a rotational basis. This presents new opportunities for people to serve in worship, hospitality, kids, parking, and setup/tear down teams. Would you commit to serve on one of our teams that make ministry happen?
