What is an internship at Redemption?

Redemption Church internships are designed to help followers of Jesus develop personally and professionally. Internships at Redemption will help prepare you to live as an authentic follower of Jesus wherever God leads you—whether you feel called to pursue vocational ministry in the future or not. All internships will have three components: head, heart, and hands. The head component will seek to develop your mind by growing your understanding of God and his Word. The heart component will seek to develop your character through growing in self-awareness and practicing healthy spiritual rhythms. The hands component will seek to develop your skills by giving you opportunities to do meaningful work within the context of your internship area.

What’s the commitment?

Internships at Redemption are a part-time, 10-20 hour per week commitment. Interns should expect to be present at Redemption Church on Sundays from 8 am - 1 pm and on Mondays from 12 - 3 pm. Interns will also be expected to complete reading and to have flexibility for occasional evening events. Time commitments will vary based on area of focus. Internships usually run from September through May.

Are interns paid?

Internships are unpaid position. However, you may raise your own support if desired. Redemption does not assist interns with support raising.

What will I do?

Intern responsibilities will vary by area of focus but all internships will include the following: serving on Sunday mornings in your area of ministry, reading assigned books, and meeting regularly with a supervisor. Other tasks will be assigned by a supervisor and will be specific to the intern’s area of ministry.
