Who is Redemption Church?
We are a church of diverse people from the Edmond and Oklahoma City area. Redemption is filled with people of different backgrounds. Some of us are brand new to church, and some of us have been investing our lives in church for a long time. We love this city and the people who live here, and we would love to have you join us.
We call our church Redemption because we believe that Jesus offers redemption big enough for everyone. We are here to help you grow in your understanding of life with Jesus. This is a great place to ask your questions. Our church is filled with redemption stories of how Jesus is changing lives. We can’t wait to hear your redemption story!
Our mission is to make
authentic disciples of Jesus
who live for the glory of God
and the good of our world.

What if I don’t normally go to church?
That’s okay. Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome to explore with us what it means to be a follower of Jesus. We want to be a place that is comfortable for those who are curious or skeptical about God but have never felt comfortable in church. We do our best to explain each element of the worship gathering so that people don’t get lost along the way. Our hope is that you will find our community to be one where you can easily engage other people, voice and share your questions and doubts, learn to trust in Jesus as your only hope, and be sent out on mission for the good of our world. It’s okay if you don’t have it all figured out yet; we don’t either.
What can I expect on my first visit?
You can expect to meet welcoming people who are excited that you have come. As you enter, stop by the First Time Guests table, and our greeters will be available to help you find your way to the worship service or to check your children into Redemption KIDS.
During the service, we sing, we pray, we teach from the Bible, we take communion together, and we connect with one another. You can expect to participate in worship music that engages both the head and the heart, the mind and the emotions. We will boldly and deeply teach the Bible, but we will do so in an engaging way that makes sense to the average guy or gal. We hope that everything we do is honest and is connected to real life. We try to make our worship gatherings accessible to those who are new to the Christian faith, and at the same time, powerful for those who have been in the church for a long time. We exist for God’s glory, so God is always at the center of church life. The gathering of disciples for worship is one of the church’s most powerful experiences.
If this whole church experience is new to you, feel free to just watch and listen, and then you can join in as you feel comfortable.
How should I dress?
We’re more concerned with seeing you learn about Jesus and experience redemption than we are with how you dress. So, wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing. You will find that many people tend to dress on the casual side.
Where do I take my children?
We are committed to providing a safe, loving, joyful environment for kids to learn about the gospel of Jesus in age appropriate ways. During our worship gatherings, our kids classes gather with children from birth to 5th grade. If this is your first visit, stop by the First Time Guests table in the main foyer, and our greeters wi
ll be available to help you check your child into Redemption KIDS. In future visits, you can go directly to the Redemption KIDS kiosk to check in your child. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions. Click here for more information on Redemption KIDS.
What about Students?
We want students to be fully engaged in church life where they worship, serve, and engage others alongside the rest of us. As you enter the worship gathering, you can stop by the Students table to meet some of our students and our leaders. For more information on our Student gatherings which take place on Sunday evenings, visit the Students section of our site.
