This workshop is for Redemption Church members who are looking to grow as group leaders. Current group leaders are required to attend as a part of their on-going training. The workshop is also open to members who have led groups in the past or are seeking to become group leaders at Redemption in the future.

Group discipleship is the most unpredictable ministry a church has to offer. And it is in the unpredictable that God often displays His power to change lives according to His purpose. Using His people.

This workshop — a mixture of teaching, activities, and interaction — invites the group leader to step into the stream of 2000 years of groups ministry and consider how they will be part of such a mighty movement.

Speakers

Dr. Jared Steven Musgrove

is Groups Pastor serving The Village Church in Flower Mound TX (SBC, Acts 29) where he oversees Home Groups and Recovery Groups. He earned his B.A. in journalism from The University of Oklahoma, his Master of Divinity in preaching from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and his Doctorate of Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has directed small group discipleship environments in parachurch and local church contexts for over 16 years.
Jared is the proud husband of Jenny and father of Jordan and Joshua.

Justin Elafros

is Groups Minister serving The Village Church in Flower Mound, TX (SBC, Acts 29) where he leads the church’s largest area of Home Groups, leaders, and coaches in addition to directing the Groups internship. He earned his B.A. from Moody Bible Institute and his M.A. in ministry from Cedarville University.
