That’s why Proverbs repeatedly speaks about “the scoffer.” Mr. Scoff-a-lot appears everywhere these days when it’s become fashionable to spout confident opinions, debunk others with some snark, and dismiss opponents with a condescending flair. But the way of the wise is full of teachable and humble people, hungry to listen to true wisdom.
