Team Member Spotlight | Cindy W.
Cindy serves on the Redemption Church Worship Team. Thanks, Cindy, for sharing how serving at Redemption Church has encouraged you spiritually!
How did you hear about Redemption Church?
I first heard about Redemption Church through the Clarks (Chris Clark is the Worship Pastor at Redemption Church). I began visiting in the spring of 2014. I was drawn here for a couple of reasons; how small we were, and how easy it was to plug in and utilize my gifts and skills.
What do you enjoy the most about working on your Redemption Serve Team?
I enjoy gathering with my serve team to utilize my gifts and skills to serve, minister, and glorify God’s name, week in and week out.
How has serving encouraged your spiritual development?
Through serving, it has encouraged me to see how the church body functions. Like our own bodies, we cannot see without our eyes, we cannot touch without our hands and fingers, and we cannot hear without our ears. Each person plays a part, no matter how big or small the role might be, whether it’s behind the scenes serving coffee, building relationships with the kids, administration, etc. I love seeing and noticing how each of us work together as a team. I love the guidance, the training, the encouragement, the growth, and the community that takes place. It is encouraging to see how much I’ve grown to see God’s faithfulness through it all.
What do you like to do for fun?
Photography, playing the piano, writing, practicing the violin. I’m currently taking violin lessons and working on puzzles.
What’s a fun fact most people do not yet know about you?
Throughout elementary school, I was the tallest girl in my class. In every class picture, you could find me in the back row. In the 5th grade, I was already 5 feet tall. Obviously, I only grew a couple of more inches after that. 😉
